All units in Inquiry Journeys incorporate the Inquiry Process. Units are anchored in an Inquiry Question that is open-ended, complex, and compelling to students.
Each unit opens with a “Launch Module,” made up of lessons that hook students into the inquiry, introduce the Inquiry Question, and help students generate questions to guide their exploration. Then, students move through a series of “Investigation Modules.”
Each Investigation Module is framed by an essential, need-to-know question and contains lessons that guide students through the investigation of a specific topic related to their overall inquiry. Finally, every unit culminates in an “Action Module.”
